A busy day for a little dog

Hello my friends, hope you are all well and having as much fun as I've had today.

This afternoon me and Mum were out in the garden. I was looking after her, standing guard whilst she read her book. Then this evening we got to go the Beach.

We went to my favourite place, Birsay and I was really brave and had a paddle. Now I'm shattered and snoozing on the sofa dreaming of all the fun I've had.

Where does the time go?

Can you believe it's May already? Everytime I post a blog I promise not to leave it so long next time, I wag my tail and two months have passed!

Well here in Orkney it's Spring and we've got lots of flowers starting to come in the garden and lots of birds for me to chase. I've had a couple of trips to the beach and one out with Dad in his boat and in all in all everything is hunky dory and at the end of the day I'm happy to chill on the sofa!

A pleasant surprise

This morning my mum went off to work as normal - except she had a cold and was feeling a bit sorry for herself - then she came back at lunch time! Now for most westies that would be a pleasant enough surprise to warrant updating their blog but there's more. Dad suggested we go for a walk to help clear her head. Quite early on in proceedings we (Jessie and me) got the impression we were being watched. So I set off on the scent.....
Although surprisingly Jessie was the first one to get the trail Labs may be good at finding things but when you find a hole you need a terrier to investigate further although I must admit I wasn't too keen on going in, looked quite dark and small. After a while Jessie got bored and even though it was quite chilly, despite the sun, she thought she'd go for a paddle
I must admit it looked quite inviting so I thought I'd investigate myself
Indeed I got quite carried away, but I don't think anyone noticed!
All in all, a most pleasant and enjoyable surprise!

The Ducks are all grown up

Hi Friends,
I've not got round to updating my blog for a while (again), but thought you'd like to know how grown up last spring's ducklings are. If you remember they used to look like this:I used to get into mega trouble all the time for chasing them! But now it's them that's doing the chasing, they are big ducks and mean!
But the ducks aren't the only birds in the garden and Dad says maybe I should try chasing something smaller!!

SNOW SNOW and more yes you guessed it SNOW

Hello my friends, I have been very quiet recently, but I'm back now with lots more stories to share with you! Just after Christmas we had lots of Snow here in Orkney (although maybe not as much as some other parts of the UK had) and it was very icy and slippy. To be honest I don't really like snow, and if you look at the photos of me you can see why! Within about five minutes I end up looking and feeling like a snowball! The snow was very pretty though! All in all though I'm glad it's gone now. Talk to you all again soon.....

Mum & Dad's holiday

This really takes the biscuit! First my Blog is hijacked by Ducklings, now Mum takes over my Blog to share her holiday photos! Why do I bother? Mum, I'm telling you, this is absolutely the last time. Blog your piccies, and then give me my Blog back!

Hi all, Mollie's Mum here, thought you might like to see a couple of photos from our holiday. We were staying in a small cottage just outside a little town called Killin at the end of Loch Tay. The scenery was lovely and the weather was quite kind to us.

It really was a lovely place, and we had a nice relaxing time, although we did miss Mollie very much! Promise that the next Blog will focus totally on Mollie and her adventures!

BAD HAIR DAY

It is me honest!!!!

Mum's been sorting through some old photos, and for a little Westie ( I was two this year) I have had some pretty shocking hair cuts, and I thought I'd share a couple with you. No wonder they make mum chuckle. In the summer they try and keep me quite short 'cause I get so hot! In the winter it's allowed to grow quite long, but clearly gets out of hand. Mum keeps threatening to buy me a bow, but I put my paw down, a coat is one thing, but a Bow!! No siree.

The last photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, and my hair has already grown loads since then. Dad keeps talking about scissors, but everytime he mentions them I hide under the table, and I shall continue to do so until Mum brings up the Bow again!
