The Ducklings

Those of you who follow me on twitter, might recall that one of our ducks - we have four who live in the stream at the bottom of the garden - made her nest right outside the front door. Well, she's hatched her eggs and there are now three duckings! They are absolutely lovely, but I find it very hard to resist the urge to chase them! I keep getting into trouble for chasing the grown up ducks, so you can imagine what they'd say if I chased baby ones!
They are only a couple of days old, and today is the first day we've seen them in the water. You should see my Dad, he's like a proud father, dashing in and out with a Camera, and making sure that the Gulls and Crows stay away. I guess it means I won't be doing any more paddling for a while. Dad says if I go near them I'm grounded (in my crate) for life!

  1. Awww, dey is purrty cute and your daddy is pawsome wif taking pictures of em!

  2. I luv your ducklings! Mebbe you should has your dad get you a toy duckie, gives him a name and takes your pic with him so you can be in @manxington's duckie club. Then you wouldn't wants to chase the real ducklings and get grounded, right?
